Woodworking fun
Jul. 20th, 2008 06:49 pmThis week in my wood-shop, I have been building a little shoe rack for the closet upstairs. This particular shoe-rack is a little different, as the top shelf will be flush with the top so that our laundry baskets can sit on top of it. This week, I have a new tool in my shop, a router. This has allowed me to finish all the edges on the sides and the selves with a nice round. I have also invested the time on this project to finish sand the wood going from 80 grit through 120, 220 and 400. The wood is finished with two application of lemon oil and a dose of pledge. The last step in the project is assembly, but I am hot and pooped. Working outside today was exhausting because of the oppressive heat. I will post pictures as soon as I can of the finished item.
